Center for Leadership (C4L) FAQS
ENROLLMENT FAQs
1. When can I enroll in C4L courses?
You can enroll in C4L courses at your leisure. We have continuous open enrollment. Basically, we never close. Since our courses are completely asynchronous (this means you complete them completely at your own pace and on your own time), you take them when you have time.
2. What if I have a question about a course?
It's simple. Just send us an email by clicking on the Contact College link on the left and one of our Learning Specialist will get back with you as soon as possible. If you leave a conact number you will make it easier for us to speak with you directly.
3. Where can I find a list of Center for Leadership courses?
That's an easy one, too! You can get it right on our site. Simply click on the Course Catalog link and you are on your way.
4. How will I know when I have completed a course?
Our courses end when you have completed each of the pages. Some courses have more course pages then others so check this out before you begin. Each of the courses have numbered pages and a sequencing option that tells you which page you are on. For example, you will see something that looks like this (page 12 of 20) at the bottom of the page. When you get to and finish page 20, then you are done.
At the end of each course we ask you to complete an evaluation of the course. This is a simple process. We ask that you scroll over a series of 5-stars. Click on the star that best represents your opinion of the course. 5 stars is teh highest and best mark, 1 star is the lowest and means that we have work to do. If you give a course a 1 star, then please send us an email (Contact College) and let us know why this course did not meet your needs. You're almost done. The last piece is the examination? If you are seeking Continuing Education or Professional Development credit, then you have to demonstrate a level of proficiency that is acceptable for State and National Standards.
5. Can you tell me more about these examinations?
We are not trying to stomp you with these examinations. Our intent is to provide quality learning experiences for everyone. To maintain a high standard of quality and learning, we have to include methods for measuring your participation and engagement. This is the major reason we have developed each exam. Not all courses have an examination. The examination is our way of knowing that you didn't just breeze through the material without actually learning or retaining any of the information. We have structured the exams so that there is a minimum proficiency that has to be achieved. And some of the examination have "Gated" questioins. These are basic questions that have to be answered correctly. If they are not answered correctly, then you have to return to the material and find the answer. You will not be allowed to finish the exam. You will be allowed two chances to complete each exam. If, after the two attempts, you are not able to complete the examination with 70% proficiency, then you will be removed from the rolls and not awarded a certificate of completion. You will have to re-enroll, pay again, and attempt to complete the course at another time. If you have any questions about an examination, then please Contact the College by clicking onthe link on the left. We will contact you within 3 business days. 6. Can I have my transcript sent to my company or organization? How do I get a copy of my transcript? Yes, to both questions. We can arrange it so that you and your company or ganization get a copy of your transcript upon successful completion of a Center for Leadership course. When you register you will need to send an email to our Program Manager notifying them of your transcript request. Your transcript will be sent to you immediately upon completion with a review of the title of the course you enrolled in, the course description, your score on the examination, and contact information for the Center for Leadership. If you have any questions about an examination, then please Contact the College by clicking onthe link on the left. We will contact you within 3 business days.
